#9. People who own their own business but answer their work line, "Hello?" You own a business. You should, at the least, answer, "This is so & so". I absolutely HATE asking, "Is this so & so business?"
Idiots

One of my (least) favorite peeves is when I signal to get in another lane on the freeway and the person in that lane purposely speeds up to block my from changing lanes. What kind of a-hole would do that?
Was reading through your blog and gotta say I love your take on a lot of things, what TV shows do you watch?
OMG that's great! I should make that my #10 pet peeve since I commute every morning!!! Why haven't I blogged that yet.... maybe I'm just so used to it :((
I wanted to reply to you but it doesn't allow me. Thanks for reading my blog! TV shows I watch: Family Guy How I met Your Mother Grey's Anatomy (thanks Karyn!) Friend's reruns (never get enough!) Dirty Jobs House (sometimes) 30 Rock (LOVE Tina Fey, we share the same bday!) Biggest Loser ... and almost any reality show that makes most people say "OH PLEASE!!!" but watch it anyway. OH, and I love Discovery Channel shows on natural disasters (hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis...) not for the destruction and devastation but just a reminder of just how small we really are to mother nature.
I love Family Guy, I usually laugh out loud at least a couple of times when I watch it. I like most things on Discovery Channel and Dirty Jobs too, I like the host's sarcasm and willingness to try whatever crappy job they're profiling. I've only seen the others on your list a few times, but I do like NPH on How I met your mother (he was great in Harold & Kumar) and Alec Baldwin's always funny too but I've only seen 1 episode of 30 Rock. I think I watch too much bad TV as is and just can't fit any more into my schedule. I know you didn't ask, but here's a sampling of my embarrassing list:
The Hills (pathetic that it's on my list let alone at the top of it) 90210 (really trying to like it since I loved the original but my patience is wearing thin) Entourage Hell's Kitchen/Kitchen Nightmares (love the chef) Dr. 90210 Wife Swap (basically the same show each week but I love it) The Office TMZ (not really a show but I find myself watching it all the time)
Another pet peeve since that's how this whole thing started, when I get to work in the morning and any co-worker who sees me come in immediately comes over to start badgering me with random BS before I can even login to email...that annoys the f out of me!
How could I forget?!!? LOVE Hells Kitchen and LOVE LOVE Kitchen Nightmares.
I usually watch stuff during my lunch breaks online.
And if I had better cable I'd be watching the Hills as well! I actually just saw 2 episodes on Comcast On Demand so my next catch-up episode is when Stephanie starts dating Doug *gasp!*
It's probably a good thing that I can't view things like that online from work...adding watching TV to my apparently new work regiment of browsing random blogs might not help my career advancement.
I'm totally jealous that you're only at that point in The Hills, you've got so much good (bad) stuff to look forward to.
