Nights in Rodanthe

I heard some "eh" reviews about this movie. I thought in the beginning there was a few bad acting moments. However, by the end I thought overall it was pretty good. I cried

It sort of reminds me of a "PS I Love You" for an "older" generation... probably because it involves children... and Gere's gray hair... I dunno. But the most shocking part of the movie is that Dan went to go see this with me!

My "Chi" Rating (3 of 5):

I would've cried only if the movie featured a long scene with Richard Gere with his shirt off or a love scene with Diane Lane since she's aged about 10 years in the past 2. Wasn't she hot like 2 years ago and everyone was saying how fabulous she looks for her age? All of a sudden she looks like someone's older aunt.

Well I will cry at a commercial if the person is crying on tv. I cry when I watch Biggest Loser and they cry. It's like how post-preggo women lactate when they hear a baby or someone cry, i guess!

Diane Lane: I totally agree! I meant to write something about that! She looks a bit haggard. The movie Unfaithful, where she cheats on her husband... she was hot in that movie. Or here:

Beautiful.
Richard Gere: Never found him that attractive... Luckily, no topless scenes for him - that I remember. Or I blocked it out!

I cry if I look at my 401K or if I think about the amount of money I waste going to 49er games. I think the last movie that made me cry was The Notebook, which is borderline inexcusable since I'm a heterosexual man (not to stereotype).

DL was hot in that movie, could it have been that long ago? It's like she had head-on collision with post middle-age and her airbags failed her. Oh well, you can't fight aging forever...that is with the exception of Prince who has got to be in or close to his 50s and he still looks exactly the same as he did 25 years ago, but I digress.

LOL!!! You should blog if you don't already! Hilarious...

BTW, Notebook and Nights in Rodanthe - both Nicholas Sparks books!

I didn't know that about those both being written by the same author. I don't even know what/where/who Rodanthe is, it could be an island based on the trialer or maybe it's a retirement community near the beach? I guess I could google it.

I don't have a blog, I guess I'd rather just monopolize yours. A co-worker and I were breaking down the trainwreck that is the new 90210 and she told me to start one, but I haven't crossed that line...yet. Besides, I don't know that I'd write on it at home and would waste way too much time doing it at work.

90210 - completely agree. I don't know what they were thinking. They may as well call it OC 2008.

Monopolize on my friend. :)

(I got that info from my friend Karyn... and she is hardly wrong... especially when it comes to Nicholas Sparks) ;)

I miss me some OC, I was completely sold on that show after seeing the "Welcome to the OC bitch!" scene. I could've done without the whole Brown University storyline, otherwise it was a staple for my Thursday night routine...actually it might've been my whole Thursday night routine.

Since you work kind of close to there, have you ever had the thin crust at Zachary's? I want to try it but I'm too afraid to order in instead of the deep dish and run the risk of it being just ok.

Clearly I'm trying to avoid work today...

I have not tried Zachary's. But I have heard that pizza is like sex "Even if it's bad it's still pretty good" :)
Now get back to work!! Ha!
