(Why do movie posters always put the actors names over the wrong actor? Bugs me. Just seems logical to have the name over the respective person...??)Anyway, so as I told one person already, it's the typical story... Girl leaves boy, boy lusts after girl, more normal sweeter girl comes along, boy ignores sweet girl, pines over bitchy girl, comes to his senses, sweet girl gets sweet guy. A "Better Off Dead" for the 21st century :) Which, if I may say, and I may cause it's my blog, is one of my favorite-ist movies of all time... I digress.
So Nick & Norah... very cute. Cuter as a matinee. Maybe for a somewhat younger crowd but still funny and I love Michael Cera's acting. So innocent... makes one want to take advantage of him.

You forgot to add "boy obsesses with girl to the point of covering every square inch of his room with pictures of her", or maybe that was just in BOD. I kind of unintentionally crossed this movie of my "possibly see" list when I saw the commercials for it, then I read some review that essentially said it was the Ciizen Kane equivalent of this genre so it became a "must see" and now I'm right back where I started with "possibly see" after reading your review.
Funny sidebar - I had an intern this past summer who was/is from France and I was taking her out to lunch on her first day. She asked what we were going to eat and I recited the menu from the dinner at the Meyer household when they had Ricky, Ricky's mom and the French girl over. Clearly by the really confused look on her face my intern had no clue what I was talking about but I thought it was funny.
Are you planning to see the new Seth Rogan moview ("I forget their names are making a porno")? I'd be interested in reading what you think about it before I decide to waste 2 hours of my life on what could be a bad movie.

Of COURSE I am seeing the new Seth Rogan movie (Zach and Miri Make a Porno). I haven't heard good reviews but it has the word Porno in it and I really like Seth Rogan so I gotta give it a shot.

So that's where my gas money's going, huh? Every dollar in my tank is one less that you have to spend at the movies. It's good to know that I'm helping out the film industry in a roundabout way, although it's a bit discerning to think that my gas money could've somehow ended up in Richard Gere's pocket. That's kind of creepy.
