Wow. Incredible. Very very good. But why couldn't it have come out on my Friday off? 12:01 movie, 2.5 hours, "concert" parking lot situation, home at 3am, sleep till 6am, up for work.... not priceless.
So Batman - First off it makes me sad that Heath Ledger was dumb enough to die because this performance was amazing. Gross, sick, disturbed - excellent. It wasn't eerie watching him and I think because it was so out of character (def not Brokeback Mountain) plus the makeup and everything.
****MOVIE TALK - don't wanna spoil anything for anyone****

The special effects were awesome! Love love LOVE the Bat-bike... or whatever you call it. The effects for Two-Face were incredible too.
I did NOT think I was going to like Maggie Gyllenhall (sp?) but she was actually pretty cute. Couple cheesy lines by her but overall the movie had great dialogue. Good humor - non cheesy. Every minute was action packed. Kept me awake and on the edge of my seat. And surprising!
Only thing I can say bad about this (and Don mentioned it too) is that Christian Bale talks like he has a retainer in his mouth. I noticed this in other movies he's been in like American Psycho and it ended up turning me off. But oddly enough, when he was Bruce Wayne, he spoke fine... the Batman raspy voice, a lispy retainer wearing superhero. Oh well. Not enough to ruin the movie at all.
So we stayed till the very end hoping there would be an after credit clip - no luck. Bummer. But then I thought, Maybe thats good. I wouldn't even try to top this movie.
Ok so I don't want to say anymore than just GO SEE IT
